LAWRENCE & CREW Websites for local businesses

A fixed price, in writing, before I touch a thing.

Websites for trades and local businesses. You see what's included, what isn't and what it costs before anything starts. And it's faster than your old site on Google's own test, or you don't pay the second half.

The check takes a minute. No sign-up, no sales pitch.

Sound familiar?

  • Your site takes ages to load on a phone, and people don't wait around to find your number.
  • An agency quoted £2,000–£5,000, plus months of meetings.
  • Every small change means ringing someone and paying again.
  • You honestly can't tell whether your website brings in any work at all.

That's what I fix. A fast, simple site that makes it easy to call you, at a price you know up front.

LawrenceYou deal with me, start to finish

Hi, I'm Lawrence.

For over four years I've grown sales for premium brands from the inside: email, search, online shops and analytics. I also write the code, so websites, shops and tools get built properly rather than rented from someone else.

Most local businesses don't need an agency. They need a site that loads fast on a phone, gets found on Google and makes it easy to call. That's what I do, for a fixed price. I work with a small crew of freelancers I trust, so each part of the job is done by someone who's good at it, and you deal with me from the first call to the handover.

Three promises, signed on every quote

One fixed price. One price, agreed before I start, with what's included and what isn't written down. Anything extra is quoted separately, never slipped in.

Faster, or no second half.If Google's PageSpeed test has measured your current site, the new one has to beat it on the same test at handover, or you don't pay the second half.

You own it.You own everything. The domain is registered in your name, and the site, its files and every login are handed over to you. No lock-in and no exit fees: if you ever move on, it all goes with you.

From my in-house marketing roles, not client work.

£82kof wasted ad spend found and put back to work

20–35%of monthly revenue from email programmes I built from scratch
+59.6%more clicks from Google search in six months

~34%faster page loads across three sites I coded

Brands I've worked on include Veka, Arthouse, Esselle and Belfield Home.

Bespoke tools and apps

Not everything fits a package. I also build the tools a business runs on: automations, Android apps, browser add-ons and AI that does the typing. Same rules as a website: one fixed price in writing before I start, and you own what I build.

Automations

The jobs you do by hand every evening, done for you. A new enquiry lands in your spreadsheet and pings your phone, quotes get chased after three days, invoices go out when a job's marked done.

Android apps

An app for you and your team: job sheets, photos and sign-off on site, saved straight back to the office. Built for the phones you already have.

Browser add-ons

A button in Chrome or Edge that fills in the forms you type out every day, or pulls prices from your suppliers' sites in one click.

AI that does the typing

Replies to enquiries, job write-ups and quotes drafted in your words. You check them and press send, so customers still deal with you.

Dashboards

Enquiries, jobs and money in one place, instead of logging in to five different apps to find out how the month went.

Online shops

Custom Shopify stores, rebuilds and speed work, with checkout, stock and delivery set up properly.

Also: email marketing, search (SEO), Google Analytics, and brand and print design.

What people usually ask

How can you be so much cheaper than an agency?

No office, no account managers and no sales team. You pay for the work, not the overheads.

How long does it take?

About a week from receiving your content.

Do I actually own it?

You own everything. The domain is registered in your name, and the site, its files and every login are handed over to you. No lock-in and no exit fees: if you ever move on, it all goes with you.

What if the new site isn't any faster?

If Google's PageSpeed test has measured your current site, the new one has to beat it on the same test at handover, or you don't pay the second half.

Can I change things myself afterwards?

Yes. You can edit the text yourself without ringing me.

What do you need from me?

Your words and photos within two weeks of starting (I can use stock photos if you haven't got any), and one person who can say yes to the design.

Do you work near me?

I'm based in Rossendale, Lancashire, and work with businesses all over the UK by phone, WhatsApp, video call and email. Most people never need to meet in person, but I'm happy to if you're nearby.

Can you build an app or a tool instead of a website?

Yes: automations, Android apps, browser add-ons and AI tools, from £995. It starts with a short call, then a fixed price in writing, and you own what I build.

Is it just you?

You deal with me throughout. For specialist parts of a job I work with a small crew of freelancers I trust.

The easiest first step is free.

Check your website in a minute, or tell me the problem: a slow site, no enquiries, an expensive quote from someone else. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, how, and what it costs.
